Busan, South Korea

A modern dock in a large industrial harbour welcomed our cruise ship. We were to spend one day there with free transportation provided to the shopping area of town.

It was a beautiful day for a casual walking tour. It is the second largest city after Seoul and most likely warranted for more time to see the city.  I noticed three things that it has to offer Shopping, Seafood and Snacks.

The seafood vendors at the Jagalchi Market were mainly female and kept their small business space clean.

There was a variety of seafood and most likely caught locally. There was some competition with the other fishmongers, but they are either related or friends.

Besides the large shopping malls, the shopping also takes place on the street and much like the night markets it is a style of shopping that you either love or feel indifferent towards it.

Snacks are plentiful and so are the snack stands and the snackers.

There are small individual stands who also support the population of Busan's 3.6 million people.

Some items sold I have never seen before and each stand has something unique to offer.

I was amused at the super size of the ice cream cones.
