A Walk Down Main Street

Main Street is probably the most common name of any street worldwide, translated into many languages.  This one happens to be in Vancouver British Columbia and makes for one of my favourite strolls.

The Streets appearance has changed through the years and with the increasing property values, we will witness yet another change.

Building cranes are making their way into the area; hopefully not too soon.

With increasing high rents, smaller establishments either close or move to a more remote area.

Trends have also changed from second hands furniture stores to a more modern interior decor. 

Also, noted antiques and collectables are fewer and have advanced to a more creative use.

Pubs, coffee shops, tea tasting and other eating establishments have made their way onto Main Street.

Healthy eating with organic vegetable stores, bakeries are slowly replacing the fast food stands.

Welcoming are the Garden and Flower shop and eating establishments in the neighbourhood.
